Volleyball Recap: Cabrillo Wins Going Away Against San Luis Obispo Classical Academy

Cabrillo won the last time they faced San Luis Obispo Classical Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. Everything went the Cabrillo Conquistadores' way against the San Luis Obispo Classical Academy Grizzlies as the Cabrillo Conquistadores made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Conquistadores as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-12, 25-17.

Cabrillo's offense was headlined by Matias Salguero and Adrian Silvas, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Cody Lawton and his 25 assists. He was also solid from the service line: he led the team with eight aces.

Cabrillo's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for San Luis Obispo Classical Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cabrillo will host Orcutt Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Cabrillo: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Orcutt Academy has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. As for San Luis Obispo Classical Academy, they will welcome Valley Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
