Basketball Recap: Preston Takes a Loss

Preston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Morgantown Mohigans and fell 77-29. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mohigans from their previous meeting back in March of 2025.

When it comes to explaining why Preston lost, don't look at Easton Hayes. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points. Landon Adams also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Preston's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Morgantown, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Preston will venture away from home to square off against Buckhannon-Upshur at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Morgantown, they will host Wheeling Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mohigans will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.69 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
