Softball Game Preview: Dover Green Wave vs. Manchester Central Little Green

The Dover Green Wave will take on the Manchester Central Little Green at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Dover and nine for Manchester Central.

On Monday, Dover didn't have quite enough to beat Winnacunnet and fell 8-7.

Mackenzie Curry and Kaitlyn Jolicoeur stepped up to the plate in a big way. Curry went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Jolicoeur went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Curry has brought in this season. Brooke Jolicoeur was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Manchester Central lost 10-1 to Exeter on Wednesday.

Manchester Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Dover, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Everything went Dover's way against Manchester Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Dover made off with a 15-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Green Wave since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
