Baseball Recap: Cross County Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Cross County Thunderbirds came up short against the Marion Patriots and fell 10-6.

Cross County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kale Searcy, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.

Cross County now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Marion, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cross County will head out to square off against West Memphis at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marion, they will venture away from home to face off against Collierville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
