Baseball Game Preview: Destrehan Wildcats vs. E.D. White Cardinals

The Destrehan Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the E.D. White Cardinals at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Destrehan fell victim to Hahnville and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when E.D. White took on Northshore on Friday. The Cardinals fell 7-4 to the Panthers.

Destrehan's defeat dropped their record down to 20-11. As for E.D. White, their loss dropped their record down to 15-19.

Destrehan skirted past E.D. White 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
