Soccer Recap: Dobyns-Bennett Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Dobyns-Bennett was not quite Science Hill's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Hilltoppers by a score of 2-1. Dobyns-Bennett were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Science Hill apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Dobyns-Bennett's goal came courtesy of Andy Salas, who's now up to five this season.

Dobyns-Bennett's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2-2. As for Science Hill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3-2.

Coincidentally, Dobyns-Bennett and Science Hill will both be playing David Crockett the next time they take the pitch. The Hilltoppers will host the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Indians will host them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
