Football Recap: Brook Hill Takes a Loss

Brook Hill easily dispatched Redwater last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Guard fell just short of the Legacy Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 30-28 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Guard of the 14-9 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Legacy Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaxson Ladd, who rushed for 128 yards while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 43 receiving yards. The Eagles also relied on Ladd, who's 46-yard boot wound up being the difference in the game. Luke Lawrence was another key signal caller, throwing for 166 yards and one TD.

Brook Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Legacy Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Brook Hill will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Carlisle at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dallas HSAA at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
