After a string of six wins, Evanston's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Highland Park Giants by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Giants this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on April 4th.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Evanston sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 18-25, 15-8.

Evanston now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Highland Park, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evanston will take on Glenbrook North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Highland Park, they will square off against Niles North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Giants surely won't give up without a fight.
