Softball Recap: North Iowa Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for North Iowa's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belmond-Klemme Broncos on Friday. The Bison haven't had much luck with the Broncos recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

North Iowa now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Belmond-Klemme, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, North Iowa will take on Bishop Garrigan at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.2 runs per game on average), something the Bison will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Belmond-Klemme, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 win against Colo-NESCO on the 7th.
