Clearwater came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 17 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They beat the Valle Catholic Warriors by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-1 victory on Monday.

Clearwater pushed their record up to 29-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Valle Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.
