Softball Recap: Fleming County Takes a Loss

Fleming County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lewis County Lions. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Lions when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mallory Price made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ariana Adams, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Fleming County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Lewis County, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fleming County will take on Rowan County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lewis County, they will face off against Bracken County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
