Preview: Glenview College Prep Mustangs vs. BASIS - Scottsdale Bulldogs

The Glenview College Prep Mustangs will head out on the road to challenge the BASIS - Scottsdale Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Glenview College Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Glenview College Prep pushed their score all the way to 58 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Pointe.

Meanwhile, BASIS - Scottsdale pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Premier Prep- PHHoenix on the road by a decisive 72-56 margin. BASIS - Scottsdale has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Nithish Prakash, who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Blake Tropper, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and six assists.

Even though they lost, BASIS - Scottsdale were working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Glenview College Prep bumped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for BASIS - Scottsdale, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Things could have been worse for Glenview College Prep, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-45 loss to BASIS - Scottsdale when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Glenview College Prep, Arun Moorthy (who shot 4-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double on 24 points and 20 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
