Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Notre Dame). Their defense stepped up to hand the Whitney Point Eagles a 9-0 shutout on Wednesday. It was an even better day for Justin Mullen as he scored three goals for his team.

The win made it two in a row for Notre Dame and bumps their season record up to 7-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Whitney Point and 2-8 Dryden. As for Whitney Point, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
