Volleyball Recap: Fremont Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Fremont entered their tilt with Layton on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Lancers. The Silverwolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lancers, too.

Fremont was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 21-25, 25-13, 25-20.

Olivia Surrage paced Fremont's offense, picking up 11 kills. Surrage got some help from Brooklyn Smedley and her 16 assists. Surrage was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

When it comes to explaining why Layton lost, don't look at Suzanne Hill. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and five aces. Hill is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Fremont's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Layton, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Fremont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Hunter on the 22nd. As for Layton, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Sky View on the 22nd.
