Volleyball Recap: Lena-Winslow Triumphs

Lena-Winslow lost to Erie-Prophetstown back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. Lena-Winslow came out on top against Erie-Prophetstown by a score of 2-0.

Mia Diffenderfer paced Lena-Winslow's offense, picking up eight kills. Diffenderfer got some help from Emily Goebel and her 11 assists. Brianna Fye controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lena-Winslow's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Erie-Prophetstown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-2.

Lena-Winslow and Erie-Prophetstown should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Panthers will face off against Pearl City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (63 vs. 304). Meanwhile, Erie-Prophetstown (ranked 44th) will meet Rockridge (ranked 401st) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
