Volleyball Recap: Meghan Downs and Jenna Krinopol Secure Win for Billerica Memorial

The Billerica Memorial Indians got the win against the Shawsheen Valley Tech Rams on Friday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Billerica Memorial not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Shawsheen Valley Tech between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18, 25-19.

Billerica Memorial was led to victory by Jenna Krinopol and Meghan Downs. Krinopol had seven aces and four digs, while Downs hit 55.6% for five kills and six digs and three aces. Those seven aces gave Krinopol a new career-high. Ryan Domina also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Billerica Memorial was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matches.

Billerica Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Shawsheen Valley Tech, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-8.

As of now, neither Billerica Memorial nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
