Recap: Belle Chasse Cardinals vs. Lutcher Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Slidell, the Belle Chasse Cardinals were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-40 victory over Lutcher. Belle Chasse pushed the score to 49-26 by the end of the third, a deficit Lutcher cut but never quite recovered from.
Belle Chasse got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaylen Hughes Ingram out in front who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. MJ Bacani was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Belle Chasse has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Lutcher, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-12.
Belle Chasse will look to defend their home court on Friday against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy at 6:00 p.m. As for Lutcher, they will head out on the road to face off against Vandebilt Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Vandebilt Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lutcher in Louisiana (Vandebilt Catholic is ranked 11th, while Lutcher is ranked 193rd).
