Recap: Mankato West vs. Mankato East
The Mankato East Cougars won the last time they faced the Mankato West Scarlets, and things went their way this past Friday, too. The Cougars took down Mankato West 74-60. The victory was familiar territory for Mankato East, who now has 23 in a row.
Mankato East's win brought them up to 25-1. The Scarlets' defeat pushed them down to 6-16.
Mankato East is on the road again Monday and plays against Austin. The Cougars won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings. As for the Scarlets, they will go up against Owatonna Monday. Mankato West isn't the favorite to win, but, of course, any team can defy the odds on the right day.
