John Paul II is a perfect 9-0 against Atonement Academy since November of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The John Paul II Guardians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Atonement Academy Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

The Guardians' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past the Centurions 7-0. The Guardians haven't had any issues with the Centurions recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Atonement Academy). They were the clear victor by a 4-0 margin over San Marcos Academy on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

The Guardians' victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. As for Atonement Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

John Paul II came out on top in a nail-biter against Atonement Academy when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 1-0. Does John Paul II have another victory up their sleeve, or will Atonement Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
