Basketball Recap: Garrett Cavanaugh's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Colonial Christian over Indianapolis Northwest W

Colonial Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 59-43 fall against the Indianapolis Northwest W Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 94-62 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2021.

Colonial Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Garrett Cavanaugh, who posted six points. Another player making a difference was Bradley Corlew, who put up six points and three steals.

Colonial Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Indianapolis Northwest W, the victory (which was their fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Colonial Christian will head out to square off against Heritage Hall Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Indianapolis Northwest W, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Kokomo HomeSchool at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' defense better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 63.8 points per game this season.
