Football Recap: Wynnewood's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Wynnewood strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 25-13 win over the Frederick Bombers. The Savages have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bombers, too.

Phoenix Sparks went supernova, rushing for 134 yards and three TDs.

Wynnewood's run defense was locked in: Frederick could only muster 2.3 yards per carry. The Savages' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.4.

Wynnewood's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Frederick, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Wynnewood will be playing in front of their home fans against Stratford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Frederick, they will face off against Walters at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bombers will be up against the Blue Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
