Legion Collegiate Academy won the last time they faced Lancaster and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lancers were the clear victors by a 14-8 margin over the Bruins. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.
Macie Tillman was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Dade, who scored two runs while going 4-for-5.
Legion Collegiate Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The win made it two in a row for Legion Collegiate Academy and bumps their season record up to 9-7-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Lancaster, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Legion Collegiate Academy will venture away from home to challenge Lincoln Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lancaster, they will head out to take on Nation Ford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Bruins' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
