Recap: Eastern Greene Thunderbirds vs. Edgewood Mustangs
The Eastern Greene Thunderbirds were not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 65-45 walloping at the hands of Edgewood. The match was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Eastern Greene struggled afterwards.
Edgewood had a senior duo take command as Mialin White scored 21 points along with five assists and three steals and Jacob Boggs scored 22 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Boggs has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Huttenlocker, who scored eight points.
Eastern Greene's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Edgewood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-12.
Eastern Greene will square off against North Knox at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Eastern Greene is facing North Knox at the right time seeing as North Knox is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Edgewood will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Brown County at 7:30 p.m. on February 28th. One thing working in Edgewood's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
