Basketball Game Preview: Wabaunsee Chargers vs. Jefferson West Tigers

The Wabaunsee Chargers will head out on the road to take on the Jefferson West Tigers on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Wabaunsee is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since February 27, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 65-44 to Axtell.

Meanwhile, Jefferson West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by Rossville 65-38. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 113th).

Jefferson West's loss dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Wabaunsee, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5-1.
