Pearl hasn't had much luck against Clinton recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Pearl Pirates are taking a road trip to face off against the Clinton Arrows at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Pearl lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Enterprise, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. Pearl blew past Enterprise 11-4 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Pirates sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Ainsley Roberts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lauryn Lee was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-5. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Shiloh Wells was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Clinton and North Pike had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Everything went Clinton's way against North Pike on Monday as Clinton made off with a 14-6 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Arrows considering their one-run performance the game before.

Annalise Whitworth made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Whitworth was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on EstrElla Constancio, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Destiny Funchess also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Clinton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Clinton now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Pearl, their record now sits at 7-1.
