It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Forbush had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Reidsville Rams. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
The result came thanks to Hunter Conrad's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Forbush saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Westin Vestal, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Hunter Wolfe also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Forbush pushed their record up to 18-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Reidsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13.
