Basketball Game Preview: Forreston Cardinals vs. LaMoille Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals challenge the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Wednesday, Forreston ended up a good deal behind Lena-Winslow and lost 59-40. The match marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, LaMoille was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 67-32 defeat at the hands of Newark. The Lions were down 62-21 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Loss or not, LaMoille got some senior leadership from Brayden Klein and Tyler Billhorn. Klein went 6-for-14 en route to 15 points, while Billhorn posted 12 points and eight rebounds. That was a full 46.9% of LaMoille's points, marking the third time in a row Klein has put up more than a third of the team's points.

LaMoille's defeat dropped their record down to 7-24. As for Forreston, their loss dropped their record down to 19-12.
