Football Recap: Boron Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Boron Bobcats had to suffer through a 49-7 loss at the hands of the North Stars. The contest marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Boron still got an impressive performance from Andrew Gartica, who picked up 134 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 65 yards on only six carries.

North found their leader in sophomore Robert Rodriguez, who rushed for 80 yards and one TD on only nine carries. Caden Haner also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Boron now has a losing record of 2-3. As for North, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Boron will take on Kern Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will be up against the Broncs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North, they will square off against Arvin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
