Baseball Recap: Carnegie Vanguard Comes Up Short

Carnegie Vanguard lost to Galena Park on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rhinos came up short against the Yellowjackets, falling 11-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Rhinos, who until this matchup were averaging 3.86 runs allowed.

Carnegie Vanguard's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6. As for Galena Park, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-10-1.

Coincidentally, Carnegie Vanguard and Galena Park will both be playing Westbury the next time they take the field. The Yellowjackets will head out to face the Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rhinos will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 21st.
