Warner had won five straight on the road, but on Thursday they bumped their record up to 7-3 to make it six. Everything went their way against the Ocean View Christian Patriots as they made off with an 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

As for Ocean View Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Ocean View Christian's part, Tabitha Channell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on four hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Ocean View Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Della Sandoval, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. Sandoval has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.

Warner wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-11 victory against Julian on the 18th. As for Ocean View Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 32-1 defeat against Chula Vista Learning Community Charter on the 15th.
