Baseball Game Preview: Sierra Stallions vs. Falcon Falcons

Sierra is 0-7 against Falcon since May of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Stallions will venture away from home to take on the Falcons at 3:30 p.m.

Sierra played against Harrison on Saturday and lost via forfeit.

Sierra will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Falcon extended their winning streak to 11 on Wednesday. The Falcons came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against Pueblo South. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted against the Colts since March 31, 2018.

Falcon's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Talon Chubb, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Falcon's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Sierra, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

Sierra might still be hurting after the 20-0 defeat they got from Falcon in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Stallions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
