Basketball Game Preview: Greybull Buffaloes vs. Rocky Mountain Grizzlies

The Greybull Buffaloes will square off against the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Greybull ended up a good deal behind Wyoming Indian and lost 56-37. The Buffaloes haven't had much luck with Wyoming Indian recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain didn't have quite enough to beat Wyoming Indian on Saturday and fell 55-52. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Loss or not, Rocky Mountain got some senior leadership from Tucker Jackson and Cole Minchow. Jackson went 7 of 11 en route to 16 points and eight boards, while Minchow went 5 for 8 on his way to 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lafe Files, who posted five points.

Greybull now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Rocky Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Greybull beat Rocky Mountain 61-52 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Greybull repeat their success, or does Rocky Mountain have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
