Basketball Game Preview: Greater Cabarrus S Stallions vs. South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars

The Greater Cabarrus S Stallions will venture away from home to square off against the South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Greater Cabarrus S is coming into the contest on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They slipped by Covenant Classical 35-34 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, South Guilford HomeSchool entered their tilt with Forsyth Home Educators on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victor by a 53-30 margin over the Hawks. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 games by 21 points or more this season.

Greater Cabarrus S better focus on containing Kourtney Bullins and Isa Bosch as the pair were huge in South Guilford HomeSchool's win. Bullins posted 18 points in addition to eight boards and three blocks, while Bosch earned 15 points. Kassidy Bullins was another key player, putting up four points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.

South Guilford HomeSchool's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Greater Cabarrus S, their win bumped their record up to 6-15.

Greater Cabarrus S was taken down by South Guilford HomeSchool 56-10 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Greater Cabarrus S was down 33-4.
