Basketball Recap: Clear Falls Comes Up Short

Clear Falls lost against Clear Brook back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Clear Falls Knights lost 65-44 to the Clear Brook Wolverines. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 546th, while the Wolverines are ranked 23rd).

When it comes to explaining why Clear Falls lost, don't look at Kyndall King. Despite the final result, she posted 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. King has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Adarra Vanderford was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Clear Brook had a senior duo take command as Chardel Terrell went 13 for 23 en route to 26 points and Rezia Castillo dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Terrell has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Williams, who had four points and nine rebounds.

Clear Falls' record is now 11-18. As for Clear Brook, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 29-3.

Clear Falls didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-45 defeat against Dickinson on the 1st. As for Clear Brook, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-38 victory against Clear Lake on the 1st.
