Softball Recap: Penfield Comes Up Short

Penfield lost against Webster Thomas on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Patriots might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-2 to the Titans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Penfield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Gardner, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Megan Clark was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

Penfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Webster Thomas, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Penfield will welcome Webster Schroeder at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Webster Thomas, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Irondequoit at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
