Football Game Preview: Tippecanoe Valley Vikings vs. Bremen Lions

The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings will face off against the Bremen Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tippecanoe Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Bremen likes a good challenge.

Tippecanoe Valley barely beat Glenn the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-7 victory over the Falcons. The Vikings' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Owen Omondi was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 98 yards and one score, and also picked up 49 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Tippecanoe Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 263 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 218 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.

Tippecanoe Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hudson Shepherd and Omondi.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Bremen's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were beaten by Knox 44-15. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-6.

Tippecanoe Valley will have to keep a close watch on Jack Wildauer and Jake Rodriguez, a pair of players who had a big impact on Bremen's prior game. Wildauer gained 208 total yards and two touchdowns, while Rodriguez picked up 67 receiving yards.

Bremen's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Tippecanoe Valley, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
