Basketball Recap: S & S Consolidated Comes Up Short

S & S Consolidated was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 63-28 defeat at the hands of the Bridgeport Bulls. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1552nd, while the Bulls are ranked 763rd).

Despite the loss, S & S Consolidated had strong showings from Brenden Hammer, who posted 11 points, and Joe Orr, who put up ten points.

Even though they lost, S & S Consolidated smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in six consecutive matchups.

S & S Consolidated's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Bridgeport, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-6.

S & S Consolidated wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-55 loss against Archer City on the 13th. As for Bridgeport, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-34 victory against Gunter on the 12th.
