Football Game Preview: Jones Fightin' Tigers vs. Seabreeze Sandcrabs

The Jones Fightin' Tigers will square off against the Seabreeze Sandcrabs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Jones comes in on four and Seabreeze on five.

Jones is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 13-6 victory over Deltona.

Meanwhile, Seabreeze hadn't done well against New Smyrna Beach recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Sandcrabs won a match that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Barracudas 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Sandcrabs have posted since March 13, 2024.

Seabreeze didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sophia Fabulich and Amira Ferguson.

Jones' victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Seabreeze, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Jones didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Seabreeze in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, but they still walked away with a 12-7 victory. Will the Fightin' Tigers repeat their success, or do the Sandcrabs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
