Baseball Recap: St. Thomas Aquinas Falls Short of Montclair Kimberley Academy in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, St. Thomas Aquinas couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Montclair Kimberley Academy Cougars by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. The shutout was out of character for the Trojans seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

St. Thomas Aquinas' defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Montclair Kimberley Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

St. Thomas Aquinas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Montclair Kimberley Academy, they will take on Pope John XXIII on Friday. Pope John XXIII will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Montclair Kimberley Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
