Baseball Game Preview: Bourbon County Colonels vs. Montgomery County Indians

The Bourbon County Colonels will take on the Montgomery County Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bourbon County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Bourbon County came up short against Model on Tuesday, falling 9-3.

Meanwhile, Montgomery County fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Estill County on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Engineers by a score of 7-6.

Jordan Howard was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Landon Back was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaimen Caba, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Montgomery County's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Bourbon County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.
