Basketball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for Bowdon

Bowdon extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Alex Ortiz. The Bowdon Red Devils were the clear victor by a 73-53 margin over the Haralson County Rebels on Saturday thanks in part to Ortiz, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 19 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Jonah Wilson, who went 5 of 7 en route to 10 points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

The victory got Bowdon back to even at 10-10. As for Haralson County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bowdon will welcome Elite Scholars Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bowdon is facing Elite Scholars Academy at the right time seeing as Elite Scholars Academy is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Haralson County, they will host Temple at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Temple will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Haralson County surely won't give up without a fight.
