Agawam had already won 12 in a row and they went ahead and made it 13 on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Needham Rockets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Brownies have posted since March 29th.

Agawam had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 23-25, 27-25, 25-18, 15-8.

Dennis Nesen paced Agawam's offense, picking up 18 kills. Nesen got some help from David Dzhenzherukha and his 45 assists. Nesen and Dzhenzherukha were also some pesky defenders, as each blocked four attacks.

Agawam pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. As for Needham, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Agawam does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Needham, they will challenge Brookline at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
