Heston Academy has gone 8-0 against Whittemore-Prescott recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Heston Academy Patriots will head out to take on the Whittemore-Prescott Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Meanwhile, Whittemore-Prescott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 77-17 loss at the hands of Alcona. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 741st, while the Tigers are ranked 202nd).

Heston Academy's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3. As for Whittemore-Prescott, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Everything came up roses for Heston Academy against Whittemore-Prescott when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 62-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Heston Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
