Softball Recap: Carlisle County Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Carlisle County's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hickman County Falcons on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Comets in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.

Carlisle County's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Hickman County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-8.

Looking ahead, Carlisle County will head out on the road to take on Marshall County at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The Marshals' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Comets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hickman County, they will be playing at home against Calloway County at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
