Volleyball Recap: Goodman-Pembine Takes a Loss

Goodman-Pembine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Wabeno/Laona Rebels, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

While Goodman-Pembine was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-22, 25-9.

Wabeno/Laona was led to victory by Aubrey Tinsman and Makhia Marvin. Tinsman had 14 assists, while Marvin had eight kills. That's the most assists Tinsman has posted over her last 12 games.

Goodman-Pembine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Wabeno/Laona, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Goodman-Pembine is taking a road trip to face off against Shiocton at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Wabeno/Laona, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bonduel at 7:00 p.m.
