Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Georgetown took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dawson. Georgetown's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-15.

Makenna Stengle paced Georgetown's offense, picking up four kills. Stengle got some help from Amelia Albright and her nine assists. Finally, Albright was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Dawson had a senior duo take command as Jenna Thedford had ten digs and two assists and Taylor Ranney had 11 assists and two aces.

Georgetown's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Dawson, their win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-2.

Georgetown has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Marcus on the 29th. As for Dawson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Cathedral Catholic on the 29th.
