After a string of three wins, Georgetown's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to Dawson.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15.

Makenna Stengle paced Georgetown's offense, picking up four kills. Stengle got some help from Amelia Albright and her nine assists. Finally, Albright was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Dawson, their victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgetown will challenge Marcus at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Dawson, they will welcome Pasadena Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
