Strongsville waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Brunswick Blue Devils 24-7. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 220th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Strongsville's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Brunswick, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Strongsville will take on Medina at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brunswick, they will challenge Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will be up against the Polar Bears' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
