Recap: Crete Cardinals vs. Beatrice Orangemen
The Crete Cardinals lost against the Beatrice Orangemen back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Crete received a tough blow as they fell 62-47 to Beatrice. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crete in their matchups with Beatrice: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Crete still got an impressive performance from Amelia Hohlen, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Sierra Crist, who scored 7 points along with 4 steals.
Crete now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Beatrice, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Crete will head out on the road to face off against Northwest at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Northwest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Saturday. As for Beatrice, they will be playing at home against Aurora at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
