Volleyball Recap: Brookhaven Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Brookhaven can now relate to. They came up short against the Purvis Tornadoes on Monday, falling 3-0. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-8, 25-8.

Among those leading the charge was Brooxie Shepherd, who had four aces and three digs.

Brookhaven's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Purvis, they are on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 25 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-6 record this season.

Brookhaven does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Purvis, they will host East Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
